LINDY HOPPERS! VI PRESENTIAMO “SWINGTRIP” – un modo per scoprire le origini e i luoghi di culto dello swing e del lindy hop comodamente seduti davanti al pc! (Da un’idea di Jude Lindy)
Il nosto amico Jude si sta preparando ad un viaggio indimenticabile sulle orme dello swing e del lindy hop. Il prossimo 23 aprile, con Alice Capoani, voleranno verso New York prima e New Orleans dopo. Jude e La Alis condivideranno il loro viaggio con noi, raccontandoci suggestioni, tappe, luoghi e incontri. Sarà per loro una vacanza, ma il desiderio è quello di ballare e cantare nei posti che ieri e oggi hanno consacrato la leggenda dello swing. E’ per questo che ci invieranno video e pubblicheranno post!
L’idea è quella di viaggiare con loro: su facebook, nel gruppo SWING CIRCUS, potrete fare loro domande, suggerirgli dei posti da conoscere e scoprire! Il regalo più grande che Alis e Jude ci faranno, sarà a New Orleans, quando incontreranno e intervisteranno PETER LOGGINS, storico, ballerino e musicista conosciuto e stimato a livello mondiale. Peter è uno dei fondatori della storia moderna dello Swing, della riscoperta e dello sviluppo dei balli, soprattutto di Lindy Hop e Balboa.
Con Lucie Q Lindynerd di Roman Lindy Hoppers, che seguirà con noi tutto il progetto da vicino, cercheremo di fare l’intervista in diretta streaming, affinché tutti possiate assistere e partecipare! Lucie si occuperà anche di trascrivere l’intervista arricchendola con NdN – Note della Nerd!!! Per questo, ci stiamo organizzando. Potrete seguire tutte le tappe su questo blog. Rimarrà così traccia di questo viaggio swing! E speriamo che possa essere solo il primo! Pronti?

INTRODUCING “SWINGTRIP”– a way to discover the origins and places of worship of Swing and Lindy Hop while sitting comfortably in front of your PC! (From an idea by Jude Lindy)
Our friend Jude is getting ready for an unforgettable trip on the historic trail of Swing and Lindy Hop. On the 23rd April, Jude and Alice Capoani will fly first to New York and then to New Orleans. They will share their trip with us, making suggestions, and talking about places they visit and people they encounter. The trip is primarily for vacation but their dream is to dance and sing in the places of yesteryear and today which enshrine the legend of Swing. That’s why they’re going to send us videos and write posts! The idea is to travel with them: on Facebook, in the SWING CIRCUS group, you will be able to ask them questions, as well as suggest places that they could visit and discover. The greatest gift that Alis and Jude are going to give us will be in New Orleans where they are going to meet and interview PETER LOGGINS, music historian, dancer and musician, known and respected throughout the world. Peter is one of the founders of the modern age of Swing, and of the rediscovery and development of swing dances, especially Lindy Hop and Balboa. With LUCIE Q LNDYNERD from ROMAN LINDY HOPPERS, collaborating closely with us on this project, we will try to stream the interview LIVE , in order that everyone can watch and participate! Lucie will also transcribe the interview and add to it with NdN- NerdNotes !!! So, right now we’re organizing ourselves to get all this done. The whole trip will also be documented on the Swing Circus blog so that the memories of this SwingTrip will stay with us long into the future! Let’s hope it’s just the first of many SwingTrips!
